Dream car

I opened up Autotrader and it saves your last search...ah yes, Lotus Emira 😆 Didn't entirely expect to see this review, got to be a dream one! It's not really the right car for my next one, but it's the only sports car I would consider after the 981CS. It's got probably my favourite V6 (no bias...much) and that Lotus magic. On top of that, it has an interior - I'd love a Lotus, but I do value an interior 😄 Depending on the state of the world in a few years, I might want one... I think there is hope for BEVs though, perhaps in the form of Caterham rather than Lotus though, but we'll see. Either way, I'll be having a go in one of these in the not-too-distant future, got to do it.

Test drive that very RS4 today amazing car better than expected.

I almost crashed my car today. I was going round a corner I had done a hundred times so I went round pretty quick. I slowed down because it was wet though, maybe I didn't slow down enough or I strayed onto the painted lines but either way the back end came out. I was just zipping along and then suddenly I was drifting at 50mph in a FWD hatchback. I immediately reacted though and tried to correct myself but I overcorrected because I reacted so quickly. Then I was sliding to the left into the oncoming traffic lane (there were no other cars im very grateful for) then I overcorrected again and I was sliding right again but I got it back to normal on that attempt and continued on like nothing happened. I think the truck infront saw it happen though because they slowed right down for the rest of the road. I managed to correct the slide but man if there was oncoming traffic. It was rly scary but I'm very prideful on the fact I have a quick reaction time and critical thinking skills. I think it saved my car. Point is watch out for the wet roads man. They have such a huge effect on grip its scary.

It would be great if you could post the stats of the areas you're using and things like years driving and NCB to get these insurance quotes. I have several years NCB and have been driving since 2013 and i don't think i could get most of these at these same prices you're getting. I do live just outside London, but i used to live near newcastle and the prices weren't THAT different for me. Edit: that wrx sti, jag and porshe will never be under 1250 for anyone under 30. I'm curious so i will check some of these using my own details, to confirm what i'm saying.

Its so funny that only now so called car reviewers are looking at the Alfa. You are all so far behind what so many people already knew. The Alfa will kill you in the wet on the wrong tyres.

A car I would have put on this list would probably be an Abarth 124 spider, not the most affordable cars but god its fun, suprisingly no issues for a fiat but it sound sunreal for a 1.4, I have a fiat 124 spider S design which is basically the abarth without the interior, badge or the scorpion exhaust. Not the worst on insurance too

Favourite 90s car is the 306 GTi-6 (or Rallye) all day. That said, there are a lot of contenders for a close 2nd place. Ignoring the huge list of obvious super/hypercars (Diablo, F1, XJ220, etc), I'd be looking at a 405 T16, Viper, Escort Cosworth, Skyline GT-R (R32, 33 or 34), RS2, Lotus Carlton, 190E Evo 2, Venturi Atlantique and and GT1 homologation like the CLK GTR or GT-One.

The Giulia quadrofuglio is a beautiful car, indeed. However, Alfa Romeo’s are not known for reliability and if the car does develop a mechanical or electrical issue, it can be very expensive to maintain. Also, quality of the build and fitment is questionable compared to the other luxury makes. So if you have extra cash to spend and don’t care about losing it, and just want to enjoy driving a super car , then the Alfa GQ is it.

I have various cars, and one of them is a Peugeot 406 coupe 3L V6 manual 194cv de begin with, and it's still an absolute joy to drive and look at! I'd have one of these over the Fiat coupe, who is really like Marmite, you either love it or hate it!

I also have a 2017 MY, but with carbon ceramic brakes and carbon bucket seats. It's a blast to drive and own, and it's by far the best car I've ever owned. Even after lowering the car by 2 cm (ST springs from KW) and installing 20 inch forged wheels with ultra-low profile tires (245/30/20 at the front and 295/25/20 at the rear) the comfort is still surprisingly good, probably because of the incredible Giorgio chassis. Of course, you have to be careful with speed bumps and entering underground garages. Is there really nothing wrong with the Quadrifoglio? Absolutely, at high speeds on winding roads (highway in the Alps) you have to be very careful with the razor-sharp steering. That would have been fixed on the more recent versions. In addition, the nose dives a little too much under heavy braking. I was able to solve that after installing the GTA(m) suspension software. Finally, I also found it annoying that the revs are limited in the first 5 gears in Dynamic mode and that the valves only open at higher revs (whereas they are continuously open in Race mode). That has now also been resolved: the rev limiter has been removed, while from now on I can operate the valves myself with a button in any driving mode. So I no longer have to drive in the dangerous Race mode to get the most out of the car in terms of performance and sound experience.

Hot hatch as a second car. Not the first like me. My cheapest insurance was with a black box 2800£ or 3600£ without so I took the best option, 3.600£. This year same car, 2k winner
